SCRUM UP! Board Game - the story

The game's history began in Ukraine in 2019 as a pet project run by a small group of IT veterans. The original idea was to create a physical game for the IT community, teaching them to collaborate and cooperate while keeping the focus on the value provided to the customer.

In late 2019, the first prototype was printed, and the initial tests were run with positive results. In 2020, game development was put on hold as COVID-19 limited all person-to-person interactions.

In 2021, the team resumed work on the game and produced a couple of interim versions—fixing minor text bugs and making improvements. In 2023, the final version was released in a box with cards and tokens.

In 2024, it decided to scale the game to North America and established Focused Mind Studio Inc. in Canada.

On July 28, 2024, Focused Mind Studio announced the launch of the SCRUM UP! © Board Game in Canada and the USA, available at their online store: https://scrumup.one/.

In February 2024, the online store website was redesigned and relaunched at https://scrumup.one/.
In addition, a board was designed and added to the game, making it easier to set up the cards for the first sprint by showing where each card should go.
